Some special orders can take longer. Due to the size of a canoe or kayak, boats must be shipped by common carrier. We always find the best rates possible. In order to keep our shipping prices affordable we ship to most commercial locations, businesses, residences or a network of distrubition facilities found nation wide and in most communities, For one near you CLICK HERE. As it can be difficult for a larger truck to access, a residential location there is a $48 surcharge to ship to a residence. The surcharge will be automatically added to your shipping charge on checkout should you choose this option. If you have any questions about your order please call our toll free number and a Customer Service associate will help you. Some locations require additional shipping fees for remote areas or long distance travel. Some locations not in close proximity to an authorized distribution facility may also require additional shipping fees. Larger shipments to the west coast have been more expensive with recent fuel surcharges added by the shipping companies. We will research and always look to find the best and least expensive way to ship. Shipping is not a profit center for our company. We will contact you if shipping cost to your area require additional fees. We can ship anywhere in the US and Canada. Canadian shipments may have additional fees. Saco Bound will fully insure your canoe or kayak during shipping. If there is damage or any issue, you should refuse the boat noting the reason and damage in writing on the shipping document. Failure to do this will result in charges for shipping and restocking. Once you have signed and accepted the item, you may be responsible for shipping charges on a return or replacement if you are not satisfied. While Saco Bound and our trucking affiliates make every effort to insure a safe delivery, it is possible for a canoe or kayak to have a scuff or scratch by the time it reaches its destination. Minor imperfections are not cause for a refusal. You may cancel your order anytime until 2 days prior to it being shipped without penalty. Shipping charges on special orders or items not in stock will be the responsibility of the customer should you cancel your order. It is our goal to have you as a satisfied customer. Some sale or special boats may be factory seconds. Sale prices are for in stock items only and supplies may be limited. Payment in full is due at the time of order. Not all items listed are in stock at all times. We can usually have most out of stock items in a week or so. Some special orders can take longer.
